Camp St. Iakovos Registration

Summer 2024

Our third year of camp begins on Sunday June 16th, 2024 and concludes Sunday June 23rd, 2024.

For a camper to be registered, we must receive both 1) fully-completed registration forms and 2) the full tuition payment. Please confirm a spot for your child(ren) as soon as possible! Receipt of registration and tuition reserves your spot.

How to Register For Camp Saint Iakovos:

  1. Complete the electronic Registration Form ASAP.

  2. Download and print Additional Forms (linked below) and submit completed forms via email to campstiakovos@gmail.com by May 28th, 2024.

  3. Submit tuition payment through our Donations page (please specify “Camp Saint Iakovos” in the Notes) or by mailing a check to 20000 N. County Line Rd Piedmont, Oklahoma 73078.

  4. Send a copy of insurance ID cards to via email to campstiakovos@gmail.com by May 28th, 2024.

INSURANCE

All campers should be covered by their family policy. Those not covered, must sign a waiver on the Health Form. While the Monastery of Saint Iakovos will act as guarantor, any costs incurred in providing required treatment such as appointments, prescriptions, emergency treatment, etc., will be billed to the parents/guardians.

MEDICAL INFORMATION

Included in your registration packet are “Medical History and Health Examination Forms.” These medical forms must be filled out in their entirety by you and the camper’s doctor, and received by the Monastery no later than May 28th, 2024. At least 1 registered nurse will be at the Monastery at all times during camp. Two physicians will be on call.

CABIN ASSIGNMENTS

Campers are grouped according to grade, age, and gender. We ask that you please help to encourage your children to be ready to make new friends. We cannot guarantee that your child will be in the same cabin as his/her friend/sibling, based on the amount of children we have who are in his/her age group.

DRESS CODE

Campers are expected to dress with Christian modesty at all times. For church services, girls should have at least knee-length skirts and boys should wear long pants. Shorts must be to the length of fingertips (no short shorts) and no open back, low cut or half shirts. Modest, one-piece swimsuits.

COMMUNICATION

Emergency contact number during camp session: (616) 734-3038. If you need to communicate with the Camp Director for non-emergency matters, please write to campstiakovos@gmail.com, which is checked daily. Campers are encouraged to develop friendships in an electronic-free, parent-free environment while at camp.

CANCELLATION

We appreciate prompt notification if a camper must cancel. According to your written request, cancellations will receive a full refund.

All campers are expected to act in ways appropriate to a Christian setting, at all times. If a camper refuses to abide by the rules set forth and the norms followed by everyone at camp, he/she may be asked to leave camp, and parents will be called to come pick him/her up. No cell phones and electronics (IPods, IPads, MP3 players, etc) will be permitted while camp is in session. Upon arrival, the campers will be asked to turn in any phones and/or electronics they have and they will be kept in a safe place with their name on them, and returned when the camp session finishes. Campers will not be permitted to leave the Monastery during the camp session and will be supervised at all times.
